Using this product
These tools help you view, create, edit and convert PDF and related document files. Processing runs in your browser on your own device. No account or sign-up is required for any feature, and no feature is held back behind a payment.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. There is nothing to cancel, because there is nothing to sign up for.
Your files are yours
You keep every right you already had in the documents you process here. We claim no licence, ownership or interest in them. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to claim.
You are responsible for the files you process and for keeping your own copies. Because nothing is stored on a server, we cannot recover a file you have not saved. Use Download to keep a result, and keep the original until you have checked the output.
Acceptable use
Do not use these tools on content you have no right to handle, or in any way that breaks the law that applies to you. Do not use them to remove protection from a document you are not entitled to open. The Unlock tool requires the password, and it exists for documents you already have the right to read.
Do not attempt to disrupt the site for other people, and do not redistribute it as your own product.
No warranty
These tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
PDF is a large and inconsistently implemented format. We do not guarantee that a conversion, compression, OCR pass or edit will be complete or free of errors, that layout will survive a conversion exactly, or that text recognition will be accurate. Always review your output before relying on it or sending it to anyone.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of these tools. That includes a file damaged, lost or incorrectly converted during processing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Availability
The site is offered without any uptime commitment. We may change, add or withdraw a tool at any time. Because processing happens on your device, a page you have already loaded keeps working even if the site goes offline while you are using it.
Other people's software
This product is built on open-source components, which remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences. It also loads typefaces from Google Fonts and, for OCR only, language data from jsDelivr. Those services have their own terms. See the Security page for the full list of what is loaded and from where.
Privacy
How this site handles data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. In short, your documents never leave your browser.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator of this site is established, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
