Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026.
What is kept on your device
This site uses storage that stays on your device: IndexedDB for documents, signatures and images; localStorage for your tool preferences. Your browser's storage is never automatically sent to a server like cookies are, and nothing here is tied to a user account because there is no login.
Everything kept here is either something you explicitly asked for—like a saved signature or recovered document—or a small preference that makes a tool open the way you left it. You can see, remove, or clear all of it whenever you choose.
Your local storage in detail
Here is exactly what is kept and where. None of this data is sent to a server—it stays on your device and is readable only in this browser.
| Where | Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| IndexedDB | pdf-editor-recovery | A recovery copy of the document open in the Editor or Fill & Sign, when it is under 5 MB, so a crash or a closed tab does not lose your work. | Until the job finishes, or you clear it. |
| IndexedDB | pdf-editor-handoff | Carries a result from one tool to the next when you use "Continue with", so the file does not have to be chosen again. | Deleted the moment it is read. |
| IndexedDB | pdf-editor | Signatures and images you have used in the editor, so you can reuse them. | Until you delete them in Saved assets. |
| IndexedDB | recent-files | The last 50 files you worked with, so Recent files can list them. A reusable copy is kept only under 5 MB. | Rolls over past 50 entries, or until you clear it. |
| localStorage | options.<tool> | The options you last used on that tool, so it opens the way you left it. | Until you clear this site’s data. |
| localStorage | ps.helpSeen | A single flag recording that you have seen the help button, so it does not draw attention to itself twice. | Until you clear this site’s data. |
The Security page describes each of these in more detail, including what is and is not written into them.
Third parties and external services
This site may use third-party services for specific features. For OCR, jsDelivr serves language data files. Any external service may set cookies or collect data according to its own privacy policy. See the Privacy Policy for details on what information is shared and with whom.
Clearing this data
You are never stuck with any of it.
- Remove saved signatures and images in Saved assets.
- Clear your file history in Recent files.
- Remove everything at once, including tool options, by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Nothing breaks. The site simply opens as it did on your first visit.
- Use a private or incognito window if you would rather nothing was kept once you close the tab.
Changes to this policy
If this site starts using new services, third parties, or storage methods, this page will be updated to reflect that. The date at the top will change, and any new tracking or storage will be listed. Check back if you notice something new on the site.
